Iron Rich Foods To Eat

Iron rich foods to eat, is very important because iron is not made by the body, and is obtained from food.
By including plenty of foods high in iron into your diet, your body is able to transport oxygen to muscles and blood.
Some people can suffer from being constantly anemic, and this can have a lot to do with not eating enough iron rich foods, or you could have a specific health problem.
The iron you need, basically comes from meat, and this can be difficult for vegans and vegetarians. If you do avoid eating meat, then your best bet is to always take an iron supplement.
Did you know iron is important for helping you lose weight, as it helps the body produce red blood cells, which in turn will oxygenize your blood, and this helps the body burn fat and calories.
You can overdose on iron, so don’t load up on iron supplements and extra meat, hoping you will  burn more fat, it doesn’t work that way.  Too much iron will produce more free radicals, and age you a lot more quickly.  And you won’t to stay looking younger, not speeding up the aging process.

Number one on the list, is of course red meat, egg yolks is probably your second best food high in iron.
If you like to indulge in chocolate, reach for a piece of  dark chocolate, and get your iron content the sweet way.
Seafood, dark green leafy vegetables, dried fruit, sun-dried tomatoes, some breakfast cereals enriched with iron, mushrooms nuts and seeds, are all great foods high in iron.
It is important to include plenty of foods rich in vitamin C, as this helps the body absorb iron.  If taking a supplement, include vitamin C with it.
Many fruits and vegetables are not high iron rich foods to eat.
A lack of this important mineral, may cause you to feel lethargic and fatigued.  I don’t eat enough meat, and I can always tell when I am feeling low in iron, as I start to feel a little light headed.   Because of this reason, I now take an iron supplement everyday.
You do have a great choice of iron rich foods to eat, so there should be no excuse for you or me to have low iron levels.
